Our Mission Statement

Graphic line

New Life Missions Incorporated was established in 1979 as Village Mission Network (VMN), to train people to reach their own people in their villages for Christ. (Mark 5:19-20.) Through this concept, God is raising a mighty army across the continent of Africa, and beyond.

Therefore, our desire is to establish and equip the body of believers so that they will become mature Christians, in faith and in practice. Both mentally, spiritually, and physical within the community where they live. (Matt. 28: 19-20 & 2Tim. 3:16-17.)

We are a conservative non-denominational mission organization. As a Christian community, it is our desire to promote harmonious cross-cultural fellowship among various Christian expressions. Therefore, we build relationships among rural ministries, churches, pastors, and community leaders, and with other professionals. They collaborate with us in training, in community outreaches, and church establishments in remote areas of Nigeria. (Titus 3:5-11; Heb.13: 1-3; 1Cor.1: 10; 2:7-8.)

As a Missionary Organization, we believe that the purpose of the Church is to evangelize, train and then develop Christians with Christ-like character. Therefore, we highly emphasize inductive Bible studies, Christian fellowship, prayer, breaking of bread, water baptism, worship and house visitations. Because cultural influence and tradition have eroded the church, as a mission we teach and encourage the body of Christ to be shining examples in those dark cultures. This is because when we light up the darkness with the light of Christ, we reveal the Lord to those outside the church. (Acts 2:42-47; 2Cor. 6: 14-18.)

We believe that the true basis of Christian stewardship is accountability; therefore, as a native missionary agency, we are affiliated with Nigerian Indigenous Mission Alliance (NIMA). They help to oversee our mission polices, board members, and financial auditing. Through this they provide oversight to our mission and other independent missionaries working in hostile areas of Nigeria. (Titus 1:5; 3:1-3; 1Cor.14: 40.)

We believe that, "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Isa. 8:20 (NLM abridged copy.)
